What are the reasons why bodybuilders training and dieting programs?
Many people have only one reason to keep training. When you are
younger, like 18 years old your reasons are much different than when you
are my age, 47 years old. I passed thru those reasons already like:
being noticed, impress girls, intimidation, respect and others. What
motivates your training? A very small amount of trainers will keep on road
to competition. The most common reason is "Looking good" for others
eyes. It's love for muscles and a muscled physique and passion in having
perfectly shaped physique. The health
benefits that come from maintaining an active lifestyle will come later
when you become older. I have a friend that says, on those winter
mornings when we go to the gym that It is the very thin line between
Lions and Rats.
When you know what you want from a bodybuilding program, you can better choose your training routines. The bodybuilding training program is usually focused in specific objectives. These objectives must be what motivates you,.
Your success will come when you better apply your strengths and learn with your weaknesses.
Some people enjoy exercise just because it is exercise; They don't do it for a medical purpose or health care, just because they like it. Why exercise makes you feel good? When you exercise your brain releases endorphins which provide a feel good factor.
Many people become addicted to exercise for this reason and also because exercise is related directly to self esteem. You feel good after you leave the gym. You feel good about yourself when you overcome your goals and can complete it. I can't think of a week without going to the gym. It's my place, my time with my friends and my own problems and thoughts. For me is my therapy.
At 47 years old I can say what motivates me is my mirror! Sorry to say that but all my high school friends aren't doing very well. Some people ask that traditional question about bodybuilding: What will happen when you stop? Will you get fat? Your body will fall?
My answer is: serious bodybuilders never stop. So keep going my friends.
